Professor David Marrani, Provost

Professor Marrani has over 20 years of experience as a senior academic in the UK and numerous higher education institutions worldwide. He was previously Dean at the Institute of Law, Jersey and Senior Lecturer at the University of Essex where he taught jurisprudence, comparative law and French public law.

He now leads the International Centre of Law and Business and the AGIR Group, a research group, which are both under the umbrella of MyUni Ltd. Professor Marrani has been one of the first academics in the UK to develop TNE and particularly double degrees provisions (degrees awarded jointly by UK and European universities). He studied law, philosophy and psychoanalysis in France, Spain and the UK.

He teaches and conducts research in comparative public law and theory. His research relates to the intersections between law, philosophy and psychoanalysis. He is a visiting professor in France, Spain, Italy Lebanon and a series editor for a leading academic publisher.

Rick has applied his expertise to the development of international standard higher education institutions in a range of jurisdictions

Rick is a respected legal academic with visiting professorships in China, Hong Kong, Jersey and Malaysia who has been instrumental in shaping consumer and sales law in the United Kingdom.
